My Veteran, My Hero, My Husband

This is my husband, Philip.  Of course, this picture was taken in 1968.
He is my hero, and my inspiration.  I dedicate this blog to him.

This man, my uncle Philip,my fathers youngest brother, is one of my Heroes. I was at Grandma and Grandpa's house that day that the telegram man came and delivered the telegram telling Grandma and Grandpa that he had been wounded. I remember feeling sad and scared I remember Grandma crying on the porch I can't imagine how the feeling's and emotions that were running through Grandpa Spike and Grandma Irma's Hearts minds and souls on this tragic day. Our families drifted apart over the years and I am truly trying to reconnect my dad with his brother. Him and I both agree it's long overdue so just so you know Uncle Phil I'm still working on it reaching out to you and Peg but now we have the stupid virus putting the brakes on everything but we'll get through this and we will have our day. Uncle Phil you truly are a superhero to me and I'm looking forward to getting together and catching up and reminiscing and totally hearing your story the day you were wounded in Vietnam God bless and have a great day
